Yekaterinburg held off a strong push from Moscow after halftime, regained control and closed out the semifinal with a convincing 90–69 victory. Maria Klyundikova posted another double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds. In the final of the Spartakiad of the Strongest, Dmitrii Donskov’s team will face Moscow Region.

Quarter scores: 28–19, 22–15, 17–22, 23–13.

Maria Klyundikova opened the scoring with a three-pointer, and the teams then traded shots from beyond the arc. The game remained closely contested through the first five minutes, before Moscow managed to move ahead. Levchenko then sparked a turnaround, as Yekaterinburg scored nine straight points to regain the momentum. The home team held a 28–19 advantage after the first 10 minutes.

The second quarter began with a three-pointer from the visitors, but Maiga answered right back with one of her own. Viktoriia Tretyakova and Sazonova also connected from long range, while a strong run by Sverdlovsk Region stretched the margin to 15 points, making it 50–34 at halftime. Still, Dmitrii Donskov’s team could not afford to relax, as Moscow remained in the game and looked for a way back into the contest.

And they found it right after the break. The start of the third quarter was a rough one for the home team, as Moscow went on a 13–0 run to cut the deficit to just one point. Dmitrii Donskov quickly called a timeout, and Yekaterinburg came out of it with renewed energy, finding their rhythm on offense and restoring a double-digit advantage. Heading into the final 10 minutes, Sverdlovsk Region led 67–56.

In the final quarter, Moscow tried to mount another comeback, but the hosts calmly shut down every attempt by the red-and-whites to close the gap. Yekaterinburg controlled the tempo, continued to capitalize on Moscow’s mistakes and pulled away down the stretch. The final buzzer confirmed a 90–69 victory for Sverdlovsk Region, sending Dmitrii Donskov’s team through to the final, where they will face Moscow Region tomorrow with the Spartakiad gold medal on the line. Tip-off is at 6:00 p.m. (Yekaterinburg time).
