UMMC claimed an 89–65 home victory over Nadezhda Orenburg in the Fonbet Russian Championship – Premier League. The defending champions, led by Dmitrii Donskov, took control early and never looked back.

Quarter scores: 25–12, 27–20, 17–12, 20–21

From the opening tip, it was clear that UMMC were determined. The hosts struck first, and Bentley’s three-pointer ignited the crowd and put the Foxes up by eight. Nadezhda struggled with turnovers and missed opportunities, and with a minute left in the first quarter, UMMC had already built a 14-point lead. The period ended 25–12, and the champions had set a pace that the visitors could not match.

In the second quarter, the Orenburg team tried to fight back — Afanasenko knocked down a three-pointer, cutting the deficit to six. However, Tretyakova quickly answered from deep, halting the visitors’ momentum. By the middle of the quarter, the hosts had pushed the lead back to 12, and by halftime, the margin had ballooned to 52–32. Nadezhda began to crumble under UMMC’s aggressive pressure.

The third quarter was less high-scoring, but the Yekaterinburg team remained firmly in control. The league leaders moved the ball efficiently and avoided rushed shots. Nadezhda tried to stay in the game, but their shots simply wouldn’t fall, and their shooting percentage left much to be desired. Heading into the final period, the scoreboard read 69–44, and the outcome was effectively decided.

The final quarter got off to a symbolic start with another clutch three from Tretyakova. Walker followed with a long-range shot of her own, and it was clear that a comeback was out of reach. The visitors technically outscored UMMC in the period (21–20), but they couldn’t turn the tide of the game. The Foxes closed out the game comfortably, securing an 89–65 victory and reaffirming their dominance on their home court.

UMMC’s next game will be on the road on February 28, when they face NIKA-Luzales in Syktyvkar. Tip-off is scheduled for 18:30 (MSK).

UMMC: Tretyakova and Walker – 15 points each, Bentley – 13, Nizamova – 12, Klyundikova – 10
