Yekaterinburg became even more basketball-focused during the playoffs, as the “Dynamo” metro station was temporarily renamed “Basketball.”

Overnight from April 2 to 3, the station’s entrance was fully transformed in the official style of UMMC Basketball Club. Then, on April 3 — the day of the first semifinal game — a ceremonial opening took place, featuring two-time Olympic champion and team coach Olga Korostelevа.

The celebration then shifted to the court at DIVS, where the Foxes delivered a dominant performance in Game 1 of the semifinal series, defeating Nadezhda Orenburg 91–55. Game 2 is set for April 5, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The striking renaming of the station served as further testament to Yekaterinburg’s status as Russia’s basketball capital. The “Basketball” station will remain on the metro map through the end of April.
