The Russian national team forward, 2025/26 regular-season MVP and triple-double standout will continue her career in Yekaterinburg.

UMMC Basketball Club has signed Veronika Sazonova. The 25-year-old Russian national team forward is already familiar to Russian basketball fans, having spent the 2025/26 season with Dynamo Kursk.

It was a particularly successful season for Sazonova. She was named MVP of the regular season, further establishing herself as one of the country’s most prominent players. One of the highlights of her season came on January 7 against Dynamo Moscow. In 25 minutes on the court, Sazonova recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. She also added two steals and two blocks.

Now, Sazonova is taking on a new challenge with UMMC. She will join a team with championship aspirations.
